The forecast says the cloud will hang around all day, but it always looked like it might brighten up, and so it proved with some nice spells of sunshine developing by lunchtime and through the afternoon. Pleasant in the sunshine but a nip in the air when in the shade due to the cool wind direction (again) - a regular feature of this summer.
