A bit of everything!

A quite turbulent day.  Rain during the night but temperatures fell away, allowing the rain to turn to sleet and a little snow before dawn.  We were quite lucky on Oakdale as the roads were still clear - driving into Darwen at 7am, the cars coming in the opposite direction had certainly experienced more snow, and even in the centre, on the railway station, the edges of the platforms and the tracks had a white covering.

The rest of the day was lively with gusty winds that were fairly strong at times, variable amounts of cloud, spells of sunshine and reasonable temperatures in sheltered spots.
