A wet spell during the night brought the most significant rain of the month, but by early morning there were signs that things would improve. After the rain cleared, the sun came out but just as quickly showers started to build and this set the pattern for the day. Some of the showers were heavy and even the odd clap of thunder, but it still felt cool in the noticeable westerly breeze.
