Rain, then much cooler

Heavy rain came through overnight, finally clearing by mid-morning.  We were left with a much cooler day with a brisk north westerly wind that really took the edge off the temperatures still further, making it feel quite raw.

The sun did come out quite regularly in the afternoon, but today was a big contrast to the calm and warm weather of the last week.  It did help this lovely old Magnolia tree, taken in Astley Park, Chorley, show off against a brilliant blue sky.
