Heavy rain this morning for the rush hour, and grey skies proliferated throughout the morning with further showers from time to time.  The sun managed to find one or two gaps in the cloud by dinner time though, and the gradual improvement continued during the afternoon, with just one or two showers persisting until tea time.  Still cold and breezy and very unseasonable for late May.
