A dry day and some regular spells of sunshine, cloud thickening and breaking regularly all day.  There has been a low pressure system moving south east from Ireland, bringing wind and rain to Wales, then the midlands and the south of England, but for once it didn't trouble us - the northern edge of this system stayed just to the south of Oakdale Weather Station.
