Wet and miserable, slow to clear

When Bob Geldof wrote about not liking Mondays, he was probably thinking about a similar Monday morning to today.  Rain, not in any hurry to move on, that lasted a good part of the morning, and even after it stopped, the skies didn't make much effort to improve.  At least not until mid afternoon, when gradually the sun began to make an appearance, in between heavy shower clouds that brought hail as well as rain.  Despite all this, after tea the rain stayed away and we had a reasonably pleasant end to the day.  Temperatures all day were again nothing to write home about though - it's about time some warmer weather arrived.
