Some rain overnight, then variable amounts of cloud for most of the day.  But there was some sun too, and gradually the sun won over, ensuring the day ended bright and cheerful with blue skies.  Despite the sunshine, there was a stiff north-westerly breeze, ensuring temperatures remain disappointing - by mid-May we really should be feeling something a bit warmer.
